How to Make a Wine Glass

To make a wine glass here are some very simple steps.

1) make a 2D figure using a pline comand i-e polyline comand.
2) You will need some tricks in it like changing the direction of a polyline.
3) You can change the direction using the "direction" comand while using sketching pline.

Note: keep it in mind if you are planing to extrude or revolve a 2D figure you should make a "closed" figure i-e your polyline must not b open.

4) make a cross-sectional view of wine glass using Pline comand.

How to make a simple 3D figure

you can make a 2D object very easily using autoCAD. I am using autoCAD 2010 so i am going to demonstrate on this version.

Making a cube:
1) Open autoCAD and save the file in any directory you want.

Gettting started

Assalam o alaikum friends,
Lets start the work first of all you are going to need a software to work on CAD. There are a lot of softwares you can use for CAD like "Auto desk (autoCAD)", "CATIA", "creo parametric" etc. the most simple one is autoCAD you can make 2D as well as 3D designs, mechanical parts etc. For more details like carving out the complex surfaces CATIA is the best. You can use any of them. AutoCAD is easily available and you can downolad a trial copy from autodesk official website http://www.autodesk.com/free-trials .
